Do not let this sit on the stain long though as the peroxide may discolor your carpet over time. Rinse the area well, and blot it dry.
Blood
Blood stains are easiest to remove right when the blood hits the carpet. Fill a spray bottle with cold (not warm) water and add two teaspoons of dishwashing detergent to it. Shake the bottle until the solution is well mixed, and then spray it on the stain liberally. Let the solution sit for a moment and then blot it dry. Repeat until the stain is out.
